Newnlivingway, the baby that GOD birthed from me turns 1 year old Today! So Thankful and Grateful for the work that HE placed my hands to! Thankful for every word, idea and influence that lead to a post. Thankful to God for everyone to whom HE has been able to encourage through this channel. Have a Blessed EVERYTHING!! 🤗😘

A word of Encouragement!

Can I be really transparent with you guys? I sometimes struggle in this walk. Yes, it can be difficult (in the beginning) to abstain but that’s not the walk I’m referring to. I struggle to live a “poured out life”. It’s much harder than it looks! I SO ADMIRE the “Hinton’s, Hornes and Hannah’s” of this world who give me hope for the next level! That’s what I’m striving for. Not with those persons as my focus but to be pleasing in GOD’s eyesight!

What HE desires the most is for us to die on the altar that HE may give us life in Him! His Word declares, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it” (Matthew 16:25-26).  HE desires that we be a willing sacrifice, yielded as a vessel for HIS use.  GOD wants us to lay our lives down as a burnt offering. Not mere words or pledges; no promises. Not another statement of repentance but rather a broken heart and contrite spirit that provokes us to change; to be the example!

This is the thing; a poured out life will not look the same for everyone. Mary Magdalene poured out her life’s savings (alabaster flask of expensive perfume) onto the feet of Jesus. Paul lived a life of celibacy to avail himself to the preaching and teaching of the gospel of Jesus. Who are you leading by example? To whom are you that light of encouragement your brother or sister needs to stay in this race? Only you know if you’re living a life poured out; giving Christ your ALL. In the book of Ruth, following the burial of her husband and sons, Naomi decides to leave Moab and journey back to Judah. She tells her daughters-in-law, “Return to your parents’ homes. Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye. But Ruth insisted on staying with Naomi. “See”, Naomi says to her, “your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. I will go wherever you go and live wherever you live. Your people will be my people, and your GOD will be my God” (Ruth 1:6-16 paraphrased).

Some of us may not realize we have anything to offer. For years, I was bitter at GOD for not giving me a gift. I mean, I’ve always been a giver and love to sow financially (Glory to GOD alone) but I wasn’t satisfied with that. In 1^st Corinthians 12:7-11, He says we ALL have received a gift. “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”  For anyone struggling in this area, continue to seek GOD. Man cannot tell you what your gift is but Holy Spirit anxiously wants to reveal it to you! For some, it may happen overnight. For others like myself, it may take a prolonged period of “asking, seeking and knocking”. I’ve always enjoyed  reading but it NEVER crossed my mind to write anything other than a journal entry. In retrospect, I see that I had a part to play. Had I never said “Yes” to this journey, I wouldn’t have had any oil to pour out in the form of encouragement. The same goes for you! You have a part to play in possessing the Promise! Abram had to be willing to move and get from among his people (family, friends and loved ones) to journey to a land GOD hadn’t yet revealed. Many of us (myself especially) want to know how GOD is going to do it when all HE wants is your Yes. If He did give us everything at once, there would be no need for faith nor the Cross.

How many of us will go to our grave FULL of the gifts and talent that we’ve allowed to waste away dormant? “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s talent” (Matthew 25:14-30). I heard someone say the “Cemetery” is the RICHEST place on Earth. Why? Because of all the buried potential and promises! Think of the medical cures, ideas and inventions, literature and music that die prematurely.  Some of us have been pregnant with many talents. Yet, because you continue in your own way, you repeatedly abort what GOD is attempting to Birth. Whether it’s one or a few, are you being a good steward over what HE has called you to? I don’t know about you all but I want to meet my Father on Empty, that HE might say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”.
